Scam! Business they do is borderline illegal!

They put a 10 day "reserve" on £74.99 on my credit card without any warning, without my permission and my card went on negative balance. For an order that I never placed with them. After numerous emails and complaints they responded "Your refund is on its way and you should receive it within 5-7 business days". 11 working days after and still not refund! We had what should have been a simple renewal of software order back in November, however kept receiving emails from the software provider to say the order could not be complete. I tried to place on order and as soon as my money was charged the webstore gave me an "Error"-message. It's been over a week. It looks like I may have to notify the police. Update 2/27/2020: got my money back. Took long enough.

NOT a scam. I paid for "one month" subscription to some software which worked perfectly. However, I did not realise that the "one month" would renew each month after that unless I explicitly cancelled. My fault for not reading the T&Cs thoroughly? Yes, but they should make it very very clear that "one month" is only actually one month IF you cancel the subscription before the following month.

I did read the reviews for Digital River on Trustpilot before buying and was almost discouraged. I bought a Lenovo tablet and they took nothing more than the stated price, which was very good especially with a discount code. In addition the package arrived via UPS in 4 working days. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy from them again.
