With powerful tools for monitoring and troubleshooting, Datadog APM simplifies the process of diagnosing and fixing performance issues across applications, which enhances operational efficiency.
Datadog sends real-time alerts when something goes wrong, enabling users to address problems immediately and prevent further disruptions.
Datadog APM offers proactive monitoring of complex, distributed systems, providing teams with the insights they need to prevent potential issues before they impact operations.
The platform enables faster identification of application availability issues, allowing teams to resolve problems quickly and minimize downtime.
While the platform provides detailed insights, the sheer volume of data generated can be overwhelming for teams without the proper filtering and configuration, making it difficult to focus on critical issues.
Datadog's pricing structure can be expensive, especially for smaller businesses, as costs can scale quickly depending on the number of monitored hosts and the level of usage.

Simple to Deploy Tools
What do you like best? I liked how easy it was to get my on-prem and AWS systems into the same dashboard and system. What do you dislike? For me, I would have liked to seen pricing based on data points ingested, not just node count. This can cause things to get pricey pretty fast. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We had zero metric insights into our AWS systems. And internally, things like Zabbix and Nagios require a lot of work for ...

Great Monitoring Tool
What do you like best? The integration with Amazon. We can easily see our AWS performance, set up alerts, and easily respond to them. What do you dislike? It's really hard to think of anything we don't like. Rewriting all of our alerts was painful, but we'd get that switching to any other tool. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Being able to quickly alert on and respond to issues with our infrastructure.

Analytics Software
What do you like best? Really valuable third party analytics software, allows me to save time by tracking useful metrics and see what's happening in real time. What do you dislike? Not too intuitive at first, takes some time to understand the metrics. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tracking metrics that we care about and seeing how our projects are being developed.

Datadog is fantastic!
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Our current app uses so much data that we never thought we could 'pack' everything under the same roof. When Datadog joined our team-we did! We track all metrics easily, especially satisifed with the eye-pleasant interface and the perfect timing. Our overall opinion is that Datadog is a great tool, and it is useful in every situation. What aspects are problematic or could work better? I had quite a tough list of requests and ...

Data collection at scale
What do you like best? Data Dog is really great at collecting data and give real-time perfomance metrics. It is super flexible and work for all the technologies that we are using. Also it is super easy too configure an alerting system like Pagerduty to notify us if something is odd. What do you dislike? Within Data Dog, the dashboarding is quite hard to figure out. There is time were too much information is just disturbing. Data Dog could fall in this pattern if you don't ...

Does things well!
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I love how Datadog visualizes things. It lets you see how much data my app is currently using. The metrics it's using keeps you appraised on the current status of the app. It informs you in the form of latency, which is a big help. What aspects are problematic or could work better? There's nothing that I hate with it. So far, it does just about anything I want it to do. What specific problems in your company were solved by this ...

Great Experience but not PCI Compliant
What do you like best? Love their integration with almost all popular frameworks out there. Can get started in just one line agent installation. Looked into their Log management solution which is also great! What do you dislike? Alas, they are not PCI compliant therefore exporting logs to them becomes a challenge as it comes under purview of PCI. Recommendations to others considering the product: Best for small infrastructures as too costly for bigger ones. What problems are you ...
