What is CropX?

CropX is a digital agronomy and farm management platform built on in-ground soil sensors that measure volumetric water content, temperature and salinity, feeding irrigation recommendations and scheduling. Its Apex multi-depth sensor, added in April 2026, reads at four-inch intervals through the root zone in 12, 24 and 36 inch configurations. CropX Vision, launched March 2026, assesses vineyard water stress from a single photograph. CropX acquired Tule Technologies in January 2023, adding actual evapotranspiration measurement — plant water use rather than soil state — to the platform.
