Easy to host collaborative documents in a public setting

What do you like best? It's easy to host a large amount of documents. The Confluence instance at my company hosts upwards of 500,000 documents JIRA integration is seamless. There are macros that allow you to refer to JIRA issues directly One of the best WYSIWYG text editors in the industry, far ahead of Evernote. What do you dislike? Not enough languages for syntax highlighting The search functionality is rudimentary and it is extremely difficult to search for documents If ...

Atlassian Confluence is the Most Important Software to Our Organization

What do you like best? Atlassian Confluence is mission-critical for us. It is the most mature, stable, and user-friendly wiki software available. It feels almost like an insult to just call it a "wiki". For us, it is so much more. It's a feature-rich collaboration platform. It's hard to point at just one feature as "the best"; all of its features have been developed with such a solid quality that you really have to look at it as a comprehensive package, which delivers solid value on all ...

It's there but need some design love

What do you like best? - simplicity. It does its job with minimal bells & whistles - robust. it supports quite a wide variety of activities which makes it usable for many industries - reliable. AFA I used it, it didn't fail me with glitch or hangups either on the front end (browser staff or on the backend (server response What do you dislike? - overall feel of the UI. It feels like so stuck in last decade. Don't have the zen feel of the Github's or the trendy feel of the Google ...

Great collaborative tool for teams of any size

What do you like best? Confluence is not only a great collaboration tool in theory, but in execution as well. Formatting pages is quick and intuitive. Even when multiple team members are working on a single page, Confluence seamlessly merges the changes. Additionally, the native JIRA integration is fantastic. We are able to track issues with JIRA, and then add more detail on those issues in Confluence, linking the two using Atlassian's native tools. What do you dislike? Sometimes the ...

Great product but needs some work on interface

What do you like best? I like how easy it was the create new pages and documentation. What do you dislike? There is very little customizability and pages can get unwieldy very quickly. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The tool makes it very easy to create new documentation.

Great for keeping track of tasks, schedules and project documentation

What do you like best? A lot pre-made templates for tasks, schedules, meet-ups and etc. Great permissions and access lists. What do you dislike? A bit slow to organize a nice looking home page, but only in the beginning. Recommendations to others considering the product It's very advance and enterprise, so if you are looking for something small, cheap and not complicated, it's not exactly for you. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Flexible & Robust

What do you like best? Your imagination is the limit when it comes to what you can do with Confluence. Although the software was first used by our product and dev teams, our marketing team has transitioned over so everyone in the company can work off of one system. You can customize your workflow and projects settings however you like and the add-ons make anything possible. What do you dislike? Along with the ability to fully customize comes a lot of initial set-up. Our marketing team ...

Confluence - the perfect tool for agile software development teams

What do you like best? Confluence is directly integrated with other atlassian products. We use this tool as a communication to the users, as well as a wiki for our internal team. The ease of use and clean UI is also great I would highly suggest this product to any software development team. What do you dislike? Formatting text when editing a wiki can be problematic. I have noticed that at times the formatter glitches and does not format accordingly. What business problems are you ...
