Confluence review

What do you like best? Sharing the task with multiple members in the team at same time. What do you dislike? I believe the front end is overloaded with lot of content. This leads to extra time to load things on screen. Recommendations to others considering the product The software satisfy the basic functionality what it claims to offer. However as earlier suggested working for making the front end light weight would be of much help. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Great tool for sharing and maintaining documentation and processes

What do you like best? The add-ins for things like flow charts are really nice, as is the WYSIWYG formatter for content pages. The ability to sort content unlimited levels deep is also really helpful. What do you dislike? There's no way (that I've found to bulk modify content pages (through find-replace, etc, nor is there an easy way to migrate between platforms. The jump in license pricing from 10 users to 11 users is also quite huge. Recommendations to others considering the product ...

Confluence Review

What do you like best? The ability to quickly create documentation based on different project templates that we have setup. As well as the ability to annotate the status of each project, with details about it. What do you dislike? Learning curve is a bit steep to start out with, especially if the end user isn't familiar with documentation platforms. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have many custom web application that we ...

Useful tool

What do you like best? Used as an internal wiki and knowledge base to share information typically lost somewhere in email or a word document. Makes it easy to organize and store information to share and recall in the future. What do you dislike? Organization structure a little clunky. Can be challenging to find the information I am looking for at times. Recommendations to others considering the product Great, easy tool for documenting and organizing information and keeping a ...

Easy to use, intuitively designed, and many cross-functional uses

What do you like best? Confluence presents a canvas to allow users to design a layout or structure that works best for them. Whether you need tables, graphics, blocks of text, videos, or links to other applications, Confluence will bring all these options to the table. What do you dislike? Version control can be difficult to use if more than one person is editing or submitting an edit to the page simultaneously. Recommendations to others considering the product Simple to set up ...

Comprehensive Features in a Documentation System

What do you like best? In my experience, the best feature of Confluence is its extensibility with plugins and macros. We frequently use custom user macros to drive content visibility and custom plugins to tie external systems to our documentation. These features allow us to create spaces that are embeddable in our web applications to use as User Documentation. Custom templates are also indispensable in our work so we can have multiple development teams write documentation that follows the ...

The standard tool for software documentation

What do you like best? Even though it's clunky and unintuitive at times, Confluence has the most features and is simply the best standard. Every company I've seen try something different eventually reaches a point where they need the level of complexity Confluence has to offer. What do you dislike? Like other Atlassian products, it can be slow and buggy at times, and sometimes UI changes will leave you wondering how to do something that you used to be able to do easily. What business ...

Confluence is nice tool for requirement gathering and elaborations

What do you like best? Confluence is nice tool for requirement gathering and elaborations. You can post your comments/elaboration on the confluence site itself. What do you dislike? The UI could have been a bit better. There should have been a way to easily view all elaborations. Deleted requirements/comments have no tracing at all. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are working on a new website.
