Good place to document tables for users and IT.

What do you like best? Confluence makes it easy to set up pages to document table structures for users. We use this documentation within IT and for operational analyst to reference for reporting needs. What do you dislike? Sometimes it is hard to find where documentation has been placed. This may be more of an organization and training issue. Recommendations to others considering the product Confluence does so much more, but I would recommend it for documentation of all kinds. Confluence is an excellent product

What do you like best? The fact that each department can have their own space to collaborate on. Individual articles can be shared between departments so duplication of effort is minimized and all information about a process, or product is as consistent as possible. Everyone needs to be on the same page if customers are to get consistent information. What do you dislike? It can be a little overwhelming to get started but once over that initial hurdle everything goes pretty smoothly. ...

Easy to use, collaborative software

What do you like best? I used Confluence in the days of Wiki markup language and picked up on it within a month. My team was in the middle of building a wiki to streamline the onboarding process for new software engineers and other IT personnel. This software allowed us to upload multiple documents in various formats into one easy-to-use solution. What do you dislike? The Wiki markup language did get in the way at times as certain features were not available on the toolbar. Since ...

Shared content management

What do you like best? Confluence has many advantages - the most impressive being the ease of creating shared content and ability of this to link to other atlassian products (e.g. JIRA and bitbucket. Simple page layouts, intuitive structure and a host of add-ons allow you to create quite advanced pages and keep track of all users commits and comments. Having 40+ people in a work place makes confluence an ideal first stop for building our content and research in one place. What do you ...
