Using Confluence in the Workplace
What do you like best? I really enjoy being able to review and locate company resources easily and efficiently. Confluence allows our company to share training resources, personal stories, and insights into company development and growth. As a poster to Confluence, the editing is easy and user friendly, allowing me to put together a resource for my team, easily link pages, and include all of the information I need to. The expand sections are my favorite for keeping a nice, clean page ...

Team collaboration without effort
What do you like best? — Centralization gives the team a single source of relevant information. — Centralization enables documents to be detached from individuals and teams, which can increase accuracy. — Centralization also allows your teams to know where to look when they are working on incident resolution, saving them brain cycles at 3am when a server goes down. What do you dislike? The decision from part of the Atlassian team to remove the markup mode from Confluence and ...

Confluence eliminates the need to know a guy to get IT help in a big office
What do you like best? I like that users can keep track of their own requests, and even assign them to colleagues in some instance. This has proven to be a useful feature because sometimes only the user putting in the ticket knows who they want to assign the ticket to. As in, sometimes it takes a few days for the IT service desk to find the correct person to assign a ticket. Being able to assign a ticket to a specific user eliminates this. What do you dislike? There is not much to ...

Confluence uses “Spaces” to group pages together and organize content – you can think of it like a top-level folder on your Desktop. Everything in that one folder is related, and this helps keep you organized. What do you dislike? The basic problem stems from the fact that Confluence puts both source files and production files on the same platform. This creates difficulties with ...
