Platform for software developers.

What do you like best? It is an excellent repository of free and private code, you can fork a review of any project you need, with creative license or common goods. What do you dislike? I would like to see more groups or social networks beyond the code or have some interactivity with the community. Recommendations to others considering the product: One can manage development projects easily with the help of this wonderful software. Its version control is really fantastic. ...

What do you like best? Simple web developing tool for web developing. We can write CSS with SASS, LESS also in here. Live coding option also best here. What do you dislike? I don't find any major disadvantages here. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Real-time coding is best and saves our times.

Great way to share web snippets and demos

What do you like best? Various framework boilerplates are included in a drop down - also quick way to test code. What do you dislike? Not sure if I like the segmented interface as it limits expressivity - what if they had a auto version where one could just paste in the entire page code (with external js, css links What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Mostly debugging and adapting web code snippets that are experimental

Codepen is great but has some drawbacks

What do you like best? I love that it's an open playground where anyone can share their projects. It even allows for React projects and has pre-canned options to pull in libraries like jquery. What do you dislike? CodePen has a lot of potential but it feels squandered by their revenue model. They used to allow for external links to resources but have restricted that and require you to purchase a paid plan. This makes CodePen useful for anything requiring any content whatsoever. ...

Must have tool for coding interviews

What do you like best? I have used codepen primarily for coding interviews. It was a breeze and the remote login feature is similar to a google doc but for coding. You have the other user (even from the other end of the world coding real time) What do you dislike? It needs an IDE to run, only if there was the ability to execute it would be ideal. Recommendations to others considering the product: Google doc for coding interviews What problems are you solving with the product? ...

A great tool to learn programming and share code

What do you like best? It is an online tool that has support for many CSS preprocessors. You can write css with SASS, LESS and many others. No need to configure a working environment. That makes it great. You can share and create a portfolio of your jobs for future jobs. What do you dislike? In the free version you can't keep your codes or pens private What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I found a lot of code that helped me learn CSS, ...

Great Sandboxing Environment

What do you like best? I used Brackets for a while and didn't like how you couldn't see what your html/JS looked like in real time. CodePen does so excellently, and is very community-driven, making it easy to learn and share code. What do you dislike? I sometimes struggle with deciphering the error messages when debugging. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? CodePen is a great place to work out all the kinks of creating scripts before ...

Great SandBox for learning and teaching alike.

What do you like best? I enjoy that there is the option to have "Live Coding" sessions so that students can follow along in real time on their browser. What do you dislike? Over all this sandbox is very well designed, but it does take a little getting used to with their file structure as far as personal forked projects go. Recommendations to others considering the product: Take some time to really learn about all the features of CodePen, it will be worth your time. What ...
