Zight (formerly CloudApp) is a screen recording and annotation tool built for remote teams, marketers, and support staff who need to capture and share visuals quickly. The core workflow—record, annotate, generate a shareable link—works across desktop apps and Chrome extensions. Key features include video narration, image annotation, cloud storage, and a free ...Read more
CloudApp pros and cons
Creates and shares screenshots, videos, GIFs, and annotated content faster than writing explanations or email threads.
Keyboard shortcuts and browser extensions make capture and sharing part of a natural workflow.
Captured content uploads to the cloud instantly and generates a shareable link automatically.
Gives remote teams a visual way to communicate feedback, troubleshooting steps, and ideas.
Uploads sometimes fail mid-recording, resulting in lost content and rework.
Slowdowns during uploads, screenshot capture delays, and cross-device sync issues occur periodically.

Extremely Convenient
What do you like best? I especially like the video feature, plus the image mark-up. So much faster than doing screen shots and then using Photoshop to create highlights. What do you dislike? The drop down interface could be clearer and more intuitive. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's better than taking screen shots the regular way. Try the video capture feature. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Great Timesaver
What do you like best? CloudApp makes it easy to take screenshots or screenvideos. Wherever I am on my computer CloudApp is always at my fingertips. In no time I can take a screenshot/video and geht a shareable URL in my clipboard. Those, I share my screenshot/video with, can comment on it, directly at the shared URL. Such a timesaver! What do you dislike? There is nothing at the moment that I dislike.CloudApp does what I need it to do. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Easy as Pie
What do you like best? It simplifies every way to communicate via the cloud. What do you dislike? Honestly, nothing. I've used this at several Saas companies I've worked at and will continue to do so. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Simplifies communication with all customers so they can visually understand the process, steps, etc I'm describing to them.

Saves me a lot of time
What do you like best? It's so easy to take screen shots. I like that it no longer requires me to save all the information on my desktop. What do you dislike? Nothing at this time. I think it's good. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Not having to clog up my desktop with screen shots.

Best Screenshot App I've Used
What do you like best? I'm on a Mac and I use CloudApp when getting screenshots all the time instead of the built-in tool from Mac OS. It's more convenient and I like that we can make edits before using the screenshots. Also, I can paste the screenshot almost every where, especially in my communication tools like Slack and Messenger. You can do it too on Gmail and Asana. The online cloud saving is also a great bonus! One more important thing is that the free account version is ...

Quick and easy to use
What do you like best? I like how quick and easy CloudApp is to get started with making a recording. I also like that the URL for the video is automatically copied to your clipboard. What do you dislike? It is often difficult to tell if your microphone is recording or not until after the video is made. Recommendations to others considering the product: Give it a try, you'll like it. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Excellent for providing video-based client support
What do you like best? When a customer starts freaking out about how to use our software, we quickly jump on a quicktime recording and share it with our customers using cloudApp. In fact, many Saas that we use actually also use this as well when we have trouble on our side. Sometimes people really want to see what you're talking about and address the issues for themselves. Rather than constantly repeating the process, we can dive into their dashboard, record the video and send it to ...

What Would I Do Without It?!
What do you like best? I love its ease of use. It's my one-stop-shop when I need to do a quick demo video, do screenshots and then share. CloudApp makes doing all of that so simple. All I have to do is click on it in my toolbar and I'm ready to go. What do you dislike? There isn't anything that I dislike. It does exactly what it says it will do and what I need it to do in an easy and efficient way. Recommendations to others considering the product: I purchased this app on a ...

Simple & Sweet
What do you like best? For a super competitive price, you get everything you need out of a screen recording application. You need to ask yourself, do I really need anything fancy? This is a very capable, easy to use platform, with solid integrations What do you dislike? There are occasional errors in saving a video, and a few minor bugs here and there. The annotations/markup editor could be better A video playlist creator would be a great addition too. But for the ...
