My review on Clarizen
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Very friendly program, indeed! By friendly, I don't only refer to us as a team, but to other companies' products that integrate like a piece of cake. You extract the data you need, create an amazing report, and save it in excel format. Speaking of reports, Clarizen doesn't even expect you to have your own templates and ideas-it has pre-defined reports and it fulfilles them based on the schedule data you've entered. What aspects ...

Endless Customization but difficult to use/learn
What do you like best? I like that I am able to see how my task is related to a bigger project and the other dependencies that are related to the project. It helps with transparencies and eliminating silos. Clarizen is can be completely custom based on your needs, which is great for large companies where certain team members handle certain tasks/projects. What do you dislike? It's very difficult to learn, there are a lot of buttons/clicks to get to where you need to go or to find ...

So complicated, too many layers and things you can “break” What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding project plans and timelines

Not great
What do you like best? Comprehensive project management tool with approvals and workflows. What do you dislike? I'm not a project manager by trade and I'm managing often 4-5 people on a 3 month project. As such, Clarizen is really tricky to use since it's not super responsive to changes as it's calculating dependencies, etc. Since I don't have many of those, it's frustrating to use the application. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

I prefer it to MS Project because of its Salesforce integration
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Many times, a program offers to handle your business, but puts its own priorities and rules on top of yours. Clarizen goes out of the box, and respects your rules and the way how you want to handle your projects. They started on a basic business level, but they imporved reporting so much that they pushed their way in every aspect of our business. Our requirements are growing, and so is their capacity to respond to them. The ...

Couldn't have chosen a better PM product
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Clarizen solved our problems, and went far beyond our expectations. We love its friendliness, detailed customizability, and the powerful integration with other software. At our company, we have an ERP system handling finances, and a CRM handling sales, so the goal was to find a project manager that will integrate with them. Being able to respond to this, Clarizen soon became the center of our workflow, and we all got to love it. ...

Very complex program
What do you like best? Clarizen has the capability to allow a large number of users to manage a large number of projects. What do you dislike? It's too complicated and doesn't allow for much customization. Recommendations to others considering the product Consider if you need a software that can be customized to your needs. Also, consider if you have the time and resources to have someone to manage the program and work with clients who will use it. What business problems are you ...

Managing projects with Clarizen

Easy to use project management software
What do you like best? Clarizen has all of the power features I would expect in a project management software. Access / Roles are also customize-able so that I have control over who who can interact with the project. The export options for reporting are a huge time saver. What do you dislike? There is a slight lag in the hosted version. It hasn't been a huge problem, but it can be noticeable at times and does slow me down. I also wish there were more keyboard shortcuts available so ...
