What do you like best about Cerner? Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is user friendly and supported by many facilities. What do you dislike about Cerner? Cerner is a few years behind in technology updates. Whereas competitors like Epic have been able to advance many features and become more user and technology friendly. No major issues so far.

PROS: I like Cerner more than its well-known competitor, Epic. In particular, I find it very easy to use--with most of its commands and elements right within reach. I also love how convenient it is. If I need to retrieve data about my clients, I can easily do so without much problem. Updating data don’t take up too much time too. CONS: I don’t think I have any major issues with Cerner. However, I am noting here that there are some data that Cerner repeats within its output.

Lots of new updates!

PROS: There is a new version of Cerner that has been recently launched and boy did they roll out a lot of great features. They’ve introduced more options from their drop-down caged templates now. Plus, what’s more exciting is that they now have a set combination of diagnosis-medication which I find particularly helpful. CONS: The new Dynamic Documentation feature does not seem to recognize multiple user updates. For example, I originally gave the comments about a patient on his/her chart. ...

"cerner- too many ways to do the same task"

What do you like best about Cerner? I like that you can really customize the program. What do you dislike about Cerner? There are many things that i dislike, but the biggest concern I have is the fact that there seems to be multiple ways to carry out the same task. This leads to people being on different pages and sometimes things getting lost in the shuffle. Recommendations to others considering Cerner: to wait for them to really work out the kinks What problems is Cerner solving and how ...

"Cerner Behavior Health (EHR) is below average for behavioral health systems"

What do you like best about Cerner? Progress Noting functionality is highly configurable and can be attached to specific user templates and profiles. Individualized levels of security is also highly configurable with menu groups, user-specific access control, homepage templates, credentials, and other ways to control what a clinician/staff member can see and do. What do you dislike about Cerner? The billing module is very difficult for my organization to use as we work with a variety of ...

Great experience so far.

PROS: In my opinion, Cerner is the best among its competitors in the market. I like how each user can update their preferences based on their function within a larger scheme of their work process. With the tool customized to serve each role best, this has vastly improved the quality of our work and has made our team more efficient too. And because Cerner takes care of tracking specific work items for us, we can focus on what we like to do best: catering to our clients and making sure that ...
