"Camtasia Review"

What do you like best about Camtasia? This software is really easy to use and they have great tutorial support. It's also easy to put down for a while and pick up later to re-edit something after the fact. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Occasionally I will run into issues where it doesn't accept imported file types. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: I would recommend this product to others. The cost can be a little inhibiting if you're looking for an inexpensive solution. ...

"Camtasia is a Digital Educator's Dream!"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia is awesome for recording my screen, simple editing, and sharing with others. It's a digital educator's dream. I've found the editing to be surprisingly advanced and it has a ton of features that I wasn't expecting. You can make a pretty advanced video using camtasia with a high level of video editing production. In fact, unless you're shooting high level movie film, camtasia editing can pretty much cover most projects. The ease of use really ...

"An excellent choice for basic video production."

What do you like best about Camtasia? I have found Camtasia to be a very user friendly option for my video production needs. Having used a number of other products, Camtasia is powerful enough to include the must have features, and very easy to learn and use. I've used Camtasia to produce marketing, training, and animated videos. Adding call outs, highlights, and animation to these videos was a breeze. The user interface is very intuitive. I also like having a selection of soundtrack ...

"Tutorials for crew easier!"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Aside from being a cinematographer, I am also responsible for editing professional music videos. Being the only one in the crew knowing how to do it, it is very hard for something to be done when there's an immense workload. With Camtasia, I am able to use the screen capture and video editing features to provide a full tutorial and walkthrough for my crew to follow the steps and complete simple tasks for me such as importing and adding color filters. ...

"Great for filming tutorials"

What do you like best about Camtasia? The built in editing capability of Camtasia must be praised as it is one of the best in the market. Also, screen recording with Camtasia does not use much CPU power, so, recording the screen and presenting ideas is much more quiet with my Macbook. (The fan does not spin as quick as in quicktime) What do you dislike about Camtasia? The price of Camtasia is pretty discouraging when I want to implement it for the whole company ThinkProduction. Our whole ...

"More than just screen record"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Its nice editing capabilities makes Camtasia stand out. After recording, callouts and pointers can be used to direct attention to the viewer, making everything clearer. As opposed to other screen recording software which does not provide editing capabilities (OBS, Fraps, Quicktime), Camtasia allows one to finish the task easily. Also, the ability for one to add videos in all extensions to post-production editing is also very convenient and I have found ...

"Product that allows me to create video demos for my clients and saves me so much time."

What do you like best about Camtasia? I love the ablity to record the desktop and edit in one place. Add callouts and pointers to direct attention to what's being talked about in the video is key. What do you dislike about Camtasia? The price point is a little high. I can do the same thing in Snagit and export into Premiere Pro, software I already have. It takes me about 30% more time though. Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: Attend any webinars that might be taking place and ...

"Great software for recording off your screen"

What do you like best about Camtasia? I first started using Camtasia probably close to 10 years ago have used if off and on ever since. It does a great job of capturing video of what is on your screen, with audio. You can then edit the videos to clean then up and enhance them. I first starting using Camtasia to create videos on stock analysis. We then used them to create educational videos that were then imported into eLearning software to create full-blown courses. The software is easy to ...

"Simple, Reliable, Bread-and-Butter Screen Capture"

What do you like best about Camtasia? The screen capture process is effortless, as it should be. The editing module is simple but powerful, so I can get rid of mistakes in a hurry and get a solid finished product, as long as I'm not going for Hollywood-quality production values. I'm rally amazed how often I use this program, just because it's so much of a no-brainer. What do you dislike about Camtasia? If I'm not careful and have too many windows open while I'm recording the program can ...

"Simple Screen Capture"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Simplicity. Yes, there are many screen capture tools out there but, after several years, I still 'go to' Camtasia's 'Jing' (actually, TechSmith is the parent company). What do you dislike about Camtasia? Nothing to dislike BUT if I had to pick one thing, it would be the archiving area (sometimes, it's a challenge to locate stored images) Recommendations to others considering Camtasia: The archiving of images/captures on Screencast is sometimes ...
