"Get productive without the learning curve"

What do you like best about Camtasia? You really can start "out of the box" with Camtasia. I bought my copy simply to create some video lectures to accompany a blended learning initiative. Though I'd not used a video editing suite before, I found it intuitive and was making movies in no time. This application has a number of levels, but that said, I believe most people could get recording and editing within an hour. It's possible, very quickly, to "dual record" from both camera and screen. ...

"One of the easier advanced video suites"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia has a low learning curve, which means users pick it up quickly. What do you dislike about Camtasia? It almost takes real-time to render videos What problems is Camtasia solving and how is that benefiting you? We lecture capture all of our classes and create flipped classes for some classes. Camtasia has been very easy to get both student workers (render lecture captures) and professors (creating class videos up and running on.

"Great Screen Recorder and Basic Video Editor"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia is a wonderful product for screen recording and also for basic video editing. Camtasia has lots of little tools built into it to make a professional looking screen capture/tutorial with minimal effort or video editing experience. The editing tools are advanced enough to take a screen recording and add some pizazz to it for a nice final product. What do you dislike about Camtasia? The PC version seems to be more up to date with more tools than ...

"Camtasia - Video Editing Deluxe for IDs"

What do you like best about Camtasia? Camtasia is so easy to use. Unlike some of the other Adobe products, it's intuitive enough for users with little to no Adobe product use to pick up and at the very least, perform basic functionality to create and edit beautiful video for many purposes. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Sometimes the scroll bar on the video feed would jump around. I contribute most of that to me scrolling ahead after pausing, but I would get frustrated when I'd have to ...

"Good for the videos I use"

What do you like best about Camtasia? I love how easy it is to separate audio and video and to make breaks in a video to remove a piece or have part play at a different speed. I've had no problems adding effects, either. Customizing those has been simple. The software was also really user-friendly. I didn't have much trouble figuring out the controls after playing around with it a bit. What do you dislike about Camtasia? I've had a lot of times when I wanted to remove background noise, but ...

"Good Experience"

What do you like best about Camtasia? The program makes creating "How To" videos (screencasting) very easy. What do you dislike about Camtasia? Maybe I haven't fully figured it out yet. But it's frustrating that when I move a project that I've saved from one place to another that I can't open it back up with out those question marks in all the pieces/imports. And I have to re-look for each piece/import (image, recording, etc) for it to work again. Recommendations to others considering ...

"A wonderful tool for the price"

What do you like best about Camtasia? I've use Camtasia for both Mac and PC, and for the price you pay, you are getting an excellent tool. If you're trying to do professional film editing, you aren't going to be happy. If you're trying to edit webinars, video podcasts, and the like, Camtasia is a phenomenal tool. In recent versions of Camtasia, they have added support for unlimited concurrent timelines, so you can have multiple audio tracks, and multiple video tracks running concurrently, ...
