One of the features I would like to have there is for example - when I give asset to employee, I can add it in the system and mark that Sage HR also notifies employee about it. But employee himself has no option to reject or accept. When we did not have SAGE HR, we used to print out and sign physically acceptance documents, which was a proof document that asset has been given, and both parties approve. The software is fine and does what’s needed for my business. The problem is the calls and emails from Cake never stop. I setup a free trial and the flood of calls and emails started. I liked the software and subscribed and yet the calls and emails didn’t let up. Had to finally beg them to stop flooding my inbox with emails.

Put to market a little too early

Overall will be a good system but has some serious drawbacks. You can only upload one document at a time, and the system does not recognise duplicated documents. A-Z function only works in main document folder but not individual employee folders. Documents shared with only employee appear in full in the company document folder for all to see. Training certificate expiry dates not available to be entered when uploading training details. Any long services days do not appear in the employees ...

What do you like best? It's user friendly and they make a lot of updates! They handle our needs related to managing our staff, leaves, organizational hierarchy, keeping track of documentation, and more. What benefits have you realized? We are using CakeHR mainly to organise and follow up on our recruitment processes. For a small company without a dedicated recruiter it's a huge help that allows collaborative approach and a good overview of each open process.

Among all the functions provided by CakeHR, I like the Survey function which allow employer to setup our own surveys base on our needs, for example Medical Plan feedback.
