A great way to learn languages
Busuu is a great way to learn languages online. Not only do you have a structured program for learning grammar and vocabulary, there's also an online collaborative effort, where you check the exercises of people who are learning your language, and in turn, your exercises are checked by people who speak the language you're learning as a native. Great! But it has it's problems
I can't speak for other languages than Japanese and this review will only be centered around the Japanese beginner learning coarse. First of all, I am enjoying most of the exercises which is important to me because I won't study as much if I don't enjoy any of it. It does have some serious flaws. The difficulty curve is (for Japanese) all over the place. Some exercises are really easy and some are downright almost impossible as a beginner. For example the Media exercises, you get a frame ...

Very helpful website, slightly flawed
very helpful website but it's poor at teaching reading and writing in Japanese and I assume other non-Latin based languages, though I haven't tried them so can't be sure. A couple of the audio files were also misplaced so that the audio didn't correspond to the actual image and text. Still really good though.

Very slow JS
The page is very slow at firefox on mac os x. Also drag-n-drop doesnt work at chrome on mac os x.
