Busuu Reviews in October 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

making progress

I've only been using Busuu for a week or so to learn Japanese, and I feel I'm progressing quite well. I do find I have to use a couple of other programmes alongside it, in order to learn the alphabet and symbols as there doesn't seem to be any instruction for those within Busuu. I would also like a little more introduction to sentence structure as although I'm learning words and sentences, I'm not sure i could put a sentence together correctly myself. I would recommend the programme as part ...

Wonderful concept; Young implementation

I have tried quite a few language learning sites, and by far, Busuu has been the most engaging, clear, and well-balanced. The exercises are well-thought and paced, the social features integrate into the experience cleverly as opposed to being appended as an afterthought, and the reward feature keeps a level of "stickiness" to the site. I don't know exactly how long this site has been around, but here would be a few of my critiques/suggestions: - For languages that use symbolic characters ...

A lot improved, a lot to improve!

I used the app some time ago to practice English, I didn't like the app and I realized the exercises didn't help me to improve at the level I was. Now, I'm beginner in German, I tried the app again and it has improved a lot! I can review and practice many things I learned taking regular classes. Good service to renew and maintain language during break in the course

Great service for review and maintain your foreign language skills. I like peer correction part, but some students do not take it seriously.

busuu is AMAZING!

Am studying Spanish. I am so glad to have come upon Busuu (it was by accident, as I was channel surfing) -- the Busuu website is user-friendly, and as a result, there is something very empowering about what you are doing. You feel a sense of accomplishment while studying your language of choice. The way the lessons are set up, you are building your writing, listening and speaking skills all at the same time. Someone speaks a foreign language to you, it helps, of course, to catch on to what ...
