Busuu Reviews in October 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

Great website overall, but needs improvement...

I recommend Busuu.com highly, but with reservations. The site is very good for people who have an academic background in a language and want to increase their proficiency, increase their vocabulary and improve their conversational skills. It is also good for people with no background in a language who want an initial exposure to a language before academic study. It is not a substitute for academic study. The site has vocabulary exercises where the student repeats words after they are said ...

Free functions keep turning into pay

I've stopped using busuu in general. This is because many of the free options that were available to me when I signed up have now turned into pay options. Generally the changes haven't been well received by me and other friends.

I have spent good times with Busuu

I have worked with Busuu for few months and I have liked it. I have spent good times with Busuu and my language skills has improved.

The Bussu chat was awesome but now we have to pay for that! :(

It's a great site to learn and talk with others students. They have good lessons that make me to practice over and over.

busuu it is very helpful and a easy way to learn languages.

busuu was for me a great possibility to improve my English and also to start to learn German. Thank you for this opportunity !

Great Concept

A really good language learning tool with an integrated approach. By far the best language app I have tried and I've tried several. The only improvement I would suggest is that it is not necessary to be able to write a language, especially when just beginning. Maybe save that for the more advanced stages. It would also be helpful to explain context. For example, the Russian language app gives only the familiar greeting which could cause offence if actually used to greet strangers in ...

Busuu user for 4 years

Busuu does a great job of making language learning entertaining and effective. I like the to help and appreciate the help of others in correcting my language efforts. Only issue I have is that sometimes the site does not work as well as I would like.

My experience on languages learning with Busuu

I am gratefult for a such interesting opportunity to learn a foreign language at the busuu. I found here nice interactive learning materials. I also met nice people here. My experience with Busuu

Dear Anna, I’ m not sure, that I have something to add in order to ameliorate your language teaching tool. I find your work excellent and I think I must feel grateful, because you give me the opportunity to learn foreign languages in a simple, pleasant and mainly effective way. Perhaps some more grammar would be useful. Also, I think, it’s remarkable the absence of the Greek language, the mother of all languages ( at least in the western hemisphere), although it is not spoken by so many people.

The Best Learning SIte Ever.

I have no words to describe my gratitude for the Busuu team, for their dedicated work, sincere efforts and valuable time. You can get to learn any language in a real easy effective way in no time and having fun. Many Thanks for all of you.
