Excellent customer service

I contacted customer services to cancel my subscription because I am now attending classes and don't use BUSUU any more. I hadn't realised it was still active. The person I spoke to refunded my last payment within minutes (which I had not necessarily expected) and cancelled the subscription immediately. Slick app but doesn't make sense for learning Chinese - they make the common mistake of directly converting something that was designed for an alphabetic language.

Almost Perfect

The structure, topics and sentences are great but the app isn't perfect. There is no option to customise review of vocabulary in terms of whether you just want to practice writing out the sentences or practice matching translations. There is no difficulty setting for review either, so no way to make the review more challenging. Also the sentences don't show up in the review, only single words or small groups of words that make up part of a sentence. I feel these are obvious flaws and if ...

Highly satisfactory!

German: Beginner level - 1 A I've only completed 14 lessons and can say that the course is clearly planned and easy to perform, with useful recap units. The printable revision section is also very useful and handy. Nice idea the written help exchange from mother tongue learners. I had previously tried Babble, which is also nicely featured but not so effective as Busuu.
