Busuu covers all aspects of learning a language. There are reading, writing, speaking, and listening opportunities in each lesson. The lessons are interesting and provide the learner with practical knowledge of the language.

This is an excellent app for learning a foreign language. My only concern is the following: When I do writing or speaking exercise, I would like to request a correction from those of my friends who are native speakers. At this point a have to choose who I would like to send the exercise from all my friends list. I think we need a filter for friends. Thank you!

is variety in the lessons. I thin a good idea is to also do a jigsaw say of conjugations of verbs or just irregular verbs. Also stories with gaps to fill with the correct verb or word, with the answers at the bottom.

Errors in listening exercises

Errors in listening exercises. Listen and answer exercises sometimes expected romaji, sometimes expected kanji without explanation. The dialogue exercises often included vocabulary that had not been taught. Clicking on "translation" on my computer simply turned the Romaji green. Primarily among language learning programs, I want accuracy and to have vocabulary taught in a logical, useful manner. I didn't see that with Busuu. The certificates would be nice but the flaws make this a program ...

Busuu is an excellent program

Busuu is an excellent program. First, I'm a grandmother who started learning Russian as a high school sophomore when a local university professor came to school and said he would offer a Russian class if 5 students would sign up. After a career as an ESL teacher, I'm still interested in languages and Russian in particular.
