As far as I have experienced this app I think it isn’t equivalent to going to a normal language course, but it is really helpful if you want to learn a language and achieve a decent level of speaking and understanding. I think that it is excellent for those who don’t have time to attend a normal course, but also for those who have time and means to use both the Busuu app and to go to a normal course, would be an excellent way to learn a language you want to acquire in a short period of time!

I've been using Busuu frequently for a couple of days and I can already tell you it helped me with my Spanish. I took the Spanish placement test and it placed me on Lesson 32 A1 level. The app should have considered all the words from the previous 31 lessons as "Words learned" as they seen as completed lessons but when I checked my profile it said "0 words learned" even though I had 31 lessons completed through placement test already. It is great! Reminds me of the LiveMocha that was bought out by Babbel and then they trashed it to push their own "subpar" product of which I did not purchase! Busuu will grow, please don't sell it out. One thing, could you provide a method to correct any mistake we might make when correcting someone's work? It would be helpful if/when we submit it and then notice an error. Thanks!

Really enjoying this language app

Really enjoying this language app. Short bite size lessons relevant to every day life and then exercises submitted to the ‘community’ for correction, which are usually immediate and constructive. I also like the option to correct others work and contribute to their learning.
