A really useful language app

A really useful language app. It allows you to learn from online courses while also allowing you to learn from real people as they can correct you and give you advice.

Badly flawed

Busuu is very like DuoLingo in its written exercises. It offers certificates at levels up to B2 (which is as far as you can go), though given the work is assessed online, no sensible organisation is going to accept them. The other features work well, though it seems to me less flexible in the range of answers it accepts than DuoLingo is. (I would give DuoLingo 3 stars as well, though its faults are different to Busuu's.) Where Busuu falls down is in its USP, the community corrections. ...

Busuu has provided me with the perfect…

Busuu has provided me with the perfect combination of visual, written and oral lessons, allowing me to build my confidence and vocabulary in a way that I have not been able to achieve previously. My 16 year old son used Busuu for 3 months before embarking on a 3 month exchange to Colmar, France. He believes Busuu gave him the confidence to speak to his exchange family and at school from the start of his exchange period, giving him the full 3 months to perfect the language. He arrived home ...

Don't Use Them - Auto renew and don't offer refund!

You renewed an annual subscription without any warning or reminder. You refuse my request for a refund - wish I requested within 3 hours after receiving the annually renew invoice! - absolutely disgusting! £129.99 was taken - absolutely despicable. Is this how you make money - fleecing people and not refunding! Great business and brand values!

Premium is flawed

They crave money more than anything, you shouldn't have to buy something just to learn a freaking language, in fact, its one of the best tools I've used. Ever Oh and you have to pay to learn your weak words, WHY WOULD YOU MAKE IT SO THAT ITS HARDER TO LEARN WITHOUT PAYING!? I think premium should be a group plan (i.g.e. Workplaces, Schools, ETC) and the person who buys it has administrator priviledges, like checking to see if you are meeting standards or how well your progressing and if ...
