Watch out for auto renew

I took out a special offer for £39.99 last year as I wanted to improve my Spanish. I barely used the service and forgot about it. I have recently had £69.99 taken from my bank account as I had signed up to auto renew. When I queried this I was offered a 50 % discount. So I have been charge almost £35 for a service I do not want and will not use. BEWARE. I did not see a renewal message as it may have arrived in my junk mail just as the receipt for £69.99 did!

UPD.: The customer service manager reached out to me and refunded the cost as an exception. I appreciate that and hope to avoid a similar situation in the future you will consider automated reminders about upcoming subscription renewal. -- You did not warn on the renewal of the subscription. Your system is malicious

Your system is malicious, doesn’t remind whether or not customer wants renew membership. I ended up paying the product which I don’t use. Never again with your site. I have already shared my experience with you on social media.. I don’t recommend this site..

Renewed my membership for full price…

Renewed my membership for full price even though I only signed up for a trial. Refused to refund me my £80. Edit: Busuu has now refunded me the full price of my membership. Busuu is an okay service, I would save your money and stick to Duolingo though.

UPDATE: After posting this review, the customer service team reached out to me and finally refunded my service if I would update this to a better review. I sincerely appreciate the extra effort they went through, I just wish it hadn't taken writing a bad review of their service for them to consider offering a refund on a mistaken subscription. -------------------------------- I paid for a year subscription of the service, which was fine although nowhere near as helpful as putting that ...

This is one of the better apps to use…

This is one of the better apps to use for learning a language. It also connects you with other learners of your stronger language and vice versa. Both of you can help critique and improve phrases, grammar, and spelling. Customer support has been 100% helpful to me in every instance that I contacted them. I do wish they had a reminder email sent out about a week before subscription renews. Overall, after many apps I’ve tried, this is the one I settled on and have zero regrets.

I think that vocabulary That has not been learned yet In the conversation section can lead to some confusion but I’m getting used to the format. I like the way the program breaks down Chinese characters. It makes them make more sense. I would like to see more repetition on each level

Busuu keeps me motivated

Busuu keeps me motivated. It is like a personal teacher, keeps track of your strengths and weaknesses in language competency. You also get to interact with other community members when you have a language that could help others to improve, which is a great way to learn the language. I find it useful, will certainly recommend it's use.
