Busuu is an excellent learning tool, especially at the lower levels

Busuu is an excellent learning tool, especially for the A1-A2-B1 levels. I particularly like the switch away from the learners language in the intermediate level, and the sentence structures become progressively harder, encouraging the learner to look up things for themselves. Where it lets down a little is at the B2 level, where it feels as if they have run out of steam, with random nouns and simple spelling exercises. Horribly bad. I had paid for a year and they charged me again this year without asking. I need my payment reversed immediately! Thieves!

I didn’t find this app to be helpful while being way too expensive. The way that it is organized is not conducive to learning and remembering language, vocabulary, and grammar in a meaningful way. While it could have been nice to build a community with native/fluent speakers, there are also the growing pains of learning the language in a colloquial way versus a formal way as the app tries to teach.
