Busuu Reviews in October 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

Helpful and nicely done app

Helpful app! I am very happy that I chose to start my french adventure with it! I believe it would be better to have grammatical exercises for all levels including B1/2. But except that it was an interesting and pleasant way to study!

Great app to learn Spanish

Great app to learn Spanish. A lot of attention for grammar and everyday situations. Of course the possibility of reviewing, but also to send in written or spoken exercises to native speakers for correction.

Excellent choice for serious students

I nearly completed a full cycle of Spanish learning in a relatively short period and my progress was far better than I imagined at the start. I had to take a pause because of lack of time, but I recommend this app to anyone seriously considering picking up a new language. One minus is that some translations to French could be better: sometimes a literal word for word translation is available but the app gives you a loose one instead. I think Busuu is a dynamic platform to learn any language and it's a great idea that you can communicate with different native people in their language.

Busuu

I have used many language apps and have found Busuu to be among the best. This is mainly due to its live interaction facility with other learners in order to practice and provide support. The lessons are also good. For brand new learners it might be daunting and difficult, but perseverance is vital when learning new things.

Everything is good

Everything is good! I'd highly recommend Busuu.

A nice start

I would recommend Busuu for starting a new language because all beginnings are pretty dull and demotivating, but this platform makes that learning beginning quite an entertaining process. Exercises are easy enough to keep you motivated. The intertwined grammar flashes are easy and useful. Overall, it is a rewarding method.

Excellent app, just a few niggles

Still struggling s little bit with finding my way around the site. Sometimes I would like to revisit just one part of a lesson I have already done, but it seems that I must start from the beginning of a lesson and go through each section to get to the part I want to see again. Apart from that I have to say that I find the lessons have much more useful and relevant content than another language app I use.
