I use busuu for the basics
I use busuu for the basics, for starting from zero, but also for better understanding grammar rules and such. It is MUCH better than Duolingo!!! I'd give Duolingo 3/100 and busuu 80/100 or more. I use glossika for sentence mining. Compared to glossika, Busuu is very affordable - and obviously serves a completely different kind of studying. The liveliest learning app
Although being a lot of competitors in the language learning apps, Busuu has many special things that make it stand above others. The greatest example that I can see it's the cultural approach, can't say in other languages, but the German and Japanese courses have those little details about proper introductions for every social hierarchy, casual words that one can hear in the day-to-day.
