The app automatically renew the subscription. No refund policy. Bad customer service. Staff insisted sending reminder 1 MONTH prior billing date. Dissappointed. Updates: After this reviee the team reached out to me for a full refund.

Good app to learn but you need to know how to work with it

The app is intuitiv. I can settle a goal and see if on the day I reached it. There are good explanations and the material is also good done. What I would add is the possibilty to somehow connect with friends that I know e.g. from fb and see the progress of them so that we can compete with each other. (we can add friends but they are normally somehow from other countries and arent friends at all). Positiv is the thing that native speakers can prove your exercises. Other thing is that ...

Great potential but .....

When it worked I really liked the way it teaches but it often wouldn't respond on my phone and seems very geared to getting you to upgrade (which I tried for a week but even that didn't improve the usability).

Japanese language materials need editing supervision

Some of the materials for the Japanese language course are a bit dodgy. For example: watashi wa sensei desu 私は先生です。(I'm a teacher.) makes perfect sense in most languages but culturally, 'sensei' is a term of address/respect reserved exclusively for others; one never refers to oneself as a 'sensei' in Japanese. It is culturally unacceptable or odd. In giving feedback to the community, some other words and expressions strike me as odd, for example: 私は日本語の学習者です。Presumably this means I'm a ...
