I have been using Duolingo on my phone every day for the past month, and I also take weekly lessons to learn German. I came across Busuu last week or so. I liked the community aspect of it, so far correcting other people's contributions and writing some assignments myself to get feedback has been ok, but I don't think it's enough to keep me engaged. Honestly Busuu is a great app for learning a new language, I recommend it if you’re willing to pay. However, as a pay user I have some few critiques that mainly concern the Japanese course: 1. I think it’s great that users that can speak a certain language at a native level can correct an exercise, but I think a supervisor is needed. Many people are nice and are happy to help, others just do it for the points, or are not even qualified to correct the exercise (maybe there should be a test ...

Nice, but could be better! Interface Issues

It's been a nice experience so far, the only thing I'm struggling with is the fact that when you set the Language interface for Spanish, there is no option for Latin American Spanish which is way different than spanish from spain making this whole learning experience harder to come through.

WOW, I was going to give BUSUU a bad review of the subscription fees thinking I will be the only user or maybe a few users who had this issue and I noticed by reading the reviews there are many who had a similar issues to mine. I subscribed with BUSUU services a year ago and didn't use the website much my child didn't use it so often then they charged me for automatic renewal without any notifications even though they list on their website that they will notify me before it by 30 days I ...

Balanced experience

The system they use to teach and review is amazing, it really helps. However they don't make it clear that some languages have more limited courses. Check everywhere before you pay for premium in case they do not provided more comprehensive courses for the language you're wanting to learn. Otherwise I highly highly recommend it to everyone wanting to learn a language!
