"BricsCAD, efficient CAD that one can actually own."

What do you like best about BricsCAD? Once one gets used to using the "Quad" it becomes quite invaluable. The speed at which BricsCAD opens DWG files is twice as fast as my other CAD platform. What do you dislike about BricsCAD? I would like a Dimension Break feature as well as text along an arc. Recommendations to others considering BricsCAD: This is an excellent option compared to other choices available. The maintenance cost is very reasonable, and Bricsys is constantly updating the ...

"No regrets on switching to BricsCAD, from a 30 year AutoCAD user."

What do you like best about BricsCAD? Ease of transition from AutoCAD to BricsCAD. From implementation, and getting acquainted with the new GUI. When I first started using BricsCAD it was about 95% of AutoCAD offered, with the constant updates and feature additions I'd say it's about 98% now. Have a feature request? Submit it and give them a few months. Good chance you'll see it implemented on the next update. True story, had this happen a few times. NEVER had this type of support from the ...

Better than AutoCAD

PROS: BricsCAD is so user-friendly, with an easy setup. It helps that most of the shortcuts and commands are familiar because I've used AutoCAD in the past. CONS: Just something very small: it would be great if the learning curve to use the quad cursor will be a lot shorter.

"Good alternative to more expensive CAD softwares"

What do you like best about BricsCAD? Bricscad gives you a cost-effective solution to view, edit, and share DWG files. It is a good cheaper alternative to other CAD solutions. It gets the job done. One big plus that goes in the way for BricsCad is that it can run smoothly on lower end pc's, it uses much less resources and the performance is better with BricsCad. What do you dislike about BricsCAD? Sometimes Bricscad gets buggy and lags when working on big projects. Also the user interface ...

"Bricscad as a Packaging Design Tool"

What do you like best about BricsCAD? The pace of development has been very swift, so new tools are constantly being added. Any support requests are acknowledged and always dealt with thorougly and if they are bugs they are squashed very quickly. The ability to use lisp files with none or very little tweaking, which also gives you access to all the online lisps out there which are normally free (and their developers). 2D Parametrics. Options to buy outright, have maintenance support or ...
