What do you like best? The best thing that I like about Blackline is the ability to fully automate mundane financial close tasks and also providing the flexibility to tailor the system to fit to the control environment of the organization. This enables to free up resources so that their talent can be utilized for bigger, better projects with higher value. What do you dislike? What do you like best? Blackline helps keep everything you need for your recs in one place. Carrying over from prior periods allows you to avoid reproducing work that you've already done. What do you dislike? The only thing I really dislike is when you filter through accounts, if you click on one and then go back, the filter is gone. What do you like best? I use Blackline mainly for maintaining closing accruals evidence and for approval of these journal entries. It's very easy to navigate and to find the past evidence in case do you need it for some audit. What do you dislike? What do you like best? It is easy to implement, use and learn. What do you dislike? Why are the search functions at the bottom of the screen? Can they be moved closer to the top? What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Less paper - more financial and supporting items in one location. Better audit capabilities and querying. Working on reducing the month-end close period.

Getting all data in one place matching cleared checks and credit card transactions. Medium results but we have not done much automation. We need to begin to use key accounts more to help streamline.
