bCast is quality tool for professionals

I gained lifetime access to Appsumo and I was happy. Now I bought a Legendary account. I like bCast for its simplicity. It is an application from the marketer for marketers. Everything works great and I even kept their logo in the player because I like it. Although you can read negative reviews of bad corporate strategy, the app is great.

Highly recommend, Great Podcast Hosting Platfrom

I have been using bCast for 2 of my podcast. The platform is great! I am able to have it transcribe all my episodes so I can use the text on my website. The hosting service hasn't had a single issue. The user interface just got updated and looks great. I would recommend this to any podcaster looking for a hosting solution they can have complete control over.

The platform is easy to use and has good features which allow for good SEO and people finding and downloading your podcasts. Analytics built in to see where podcasts are being listened to which countries. I would recommend this platform.

Read before reading all 1 star reviews

TLDR: They screwed up, but they fixed it quickly and it's a great product. Yes, bCast screwed up with their announcement to lifetime deal customers... but they fixed it quickly. I was also angry when they did this, but within 3 days they reversed their decision, and decided to honor their initial deal. I use bCast for my podcast every week. Great product, the ability to dynamically insert content is great... and it's been reliable for over a year since I started using it.

I respect the founders for owning up, re-evaluating their recent decision, and rebuilding trust

Just received an email from the founders that they're re-evaluated their recent decision to terminate our lifetime licenses. They've asserted that they "will continue to support all lifetime accounts as per the original terms". So, at this moment, I'm comfortable upgrading the review to 3 stars. And will re-evaluate my position in the near future.

Like the "second try" in a marriage

The case is the same as others: I trusted the bCast podcast platform with my money and bought LifeTimeDeal in Mar. 2021. In Dec. 2021. I have been blackmailed that if I do not move on a monthly subscription, they will delete all my podcast stuff (I used maybe 5% of the monthly bandwidth and data storage.) bCast unethically cancelled our lifetime license.

I purchased bCast lifetime license from AppSumo on March 18, 2021. Yesterday I received an email from them that they are canceling all licenses from AppSumo just because they want to upgrade their system to bCast v2, hence we should buy a new license. I was deeply astonished by this move. This is very unethical and disappointing. I'll never buy anything again from bCast and other products from Tom Hunt.

A company that deserves a fair second chance

Revising my review as the team at bCast and the founder Tom Hunt assured me personally that they've revised their decision and won't be scraping the plan for the Lifetime Deal holders. They've made a promise and I'd like to give them a fair chance to fix their mistake. The product as such is wonderful and hosting podcasts on this platform is a breeze. Will Need to Rebuild Trust

bCast has announced they are reversing their stance on supporting LTD account holders. However, it will take quite a bit of time to rebuild that trust. Since Tom and Team were quiet after the initial announcement and since we only had a mere 2 weeks to migrate away I had already made the necessary steps to migrate to another platform in hopes to avoid impacting my listeners too much.
