Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

Easy Project Management

What do you like best? Easy integration of Google Drive to store files safely and in an organized fashion. What do you dislike? Cost is pretty high for a small group. We found ourselves wondering if a few hundred bucks was worth it. Recommendations to others considering the product Look into cheaper alternatives that have more functionality. Basecamp is probably the most user friendly and visually appealing. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

User-friendly, intuitive software.

What do you like best? Aesthetically, it has a clean and approachable design. Pretty intuitive in terms of viewing projects and collaborators. You can easily delineate to-do lists and tasks. Great Tool for Organization and Ownership

What do you like best? I love the ability to create full projects and break them down into specific tasks that are assigned to a specific person with a due date. It allows people across multiple Teams to have 1 central and always available location to update projects. I also love that it takes away the need for a daily or weekly email with an updated project plan. Anyone can access it at their own leisure. What do you dislike? I would like the ability to be able to download all ...

Basecamp helps our remote team stay coordinated.

What do you like best? The group chat/campfire, to-do lists, app capabilities What do you dislike? The filing system is lacking--its oversimplified. We keep our records of meetings there, and it could be easier to navigate. Recommendations to others considering the product It's not a CRM software, which is in someways how we'd like to use it, but it gets the job done with relatively few glitches. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Pretty good task list app, not much under the hood

What do you like best? The ease of adding, assigning, and building task lists is so much better than any we've ever used before. It's very intuitive and easy for novices to use. Unlike more card-based systems, it's simple to build punch lists, assign them to team members, and get people working. What do you dislike? It's almost too simple, a lot of the things that we need in simple project management are missing and the insistence on using their own file storage systems means there's ...
