Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

  • Highly effective for remote and hybrid teams, allowing easy management of tasks and communication across distances.

  • Lacks robust customization options for advanced users, particularly in file storage and integrations, which can limit flexibility.

Nothing Special - Decent Platform

What do you like best? I guess it is fairly simple to use and organize. I also like that you can customize your dashboard to see all of the boards relevant to you and hides one you no longer wish to see. The internal chat function is also helpful when reminding someone of a specific deadline or issue. What do you dislike? This program does nothing special. Basically all of the other programs that are used throughout the day include services that encompass all that Basecamp does ...

Working in a team

What do you like best? Simple to use, lots of email settings to in no way miss a notification. Okay, anybody is able to alter or perhaps reopen an order, therefore you do not usually need to repeat the ticket to find out what happened to the prior body. The documentation feature is great never to confuse the account web pages, though it is not terrible evidence of improvement. What do you dislike? It is extremely similar to a computer file system, which is actually great for the ...

Great for churches and small businesses

What do you like best? I like how user friendly Basecamp is. It has a fun atmosphere. Great for a small group of people on your team, but for many projects. What do you dislike? I don’t like how the due dates are set up. It would be nice if they were set up more clearly. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Solving most of my project management problems. It’s great for posting a lot of content and documents. Great place to ...

The most Well known Project management tool is well worth it.

What do you like best? The pricing is very competitive and the user interface is super simple to use, but can be very powerful What do you dislike? The tasks can really pile up, and the priority system doesn't seem strong enough What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Collaborating with a client on tasks that weren't easily put in a CRM

A Good Project Management Tool

What do you like best? Basecamp is really useful for organizing projects and communicating with other members of a team. I've used it multiple times as a virtual assistant to help my clients manage projects and stay on top of tasks. It's helpful for accountability purposes, too. You're able to set who is responsible for what tasks, set deadlines for those tasks, and converse in its comments area or via pings/messages when needed. That not only makes sure that you're all on the same page ...

What do you like best? The system is really simple to use and is actually a great instrument for new recruits. Knowledge and info materials are actually packed into the software program so that fresh staff can readily move around and stick to the single modules. What do you dislike? In some cases there are quite strange glitches Recommendations to others considering the product: Total, Basecamp is actually simple to operate, encourages cooperation and also simplifies ...

A great product management platform that allows users to collaborate effectively

What do you like best? The ability to sort by team but also by project so you can make sure everyone has the perfect amount of visibility. The ability to assign to-dos to users on your team so project deliverables are documented. Each product lives in it's own context - so any messages or files can be attached and reduces the scavenger hunt through e-mail. What do you dislike? I wish the desktop app had an interface similar to Google Drive, where I could save and backup my files ...

Communication between colleagues to increase team productivity

What do you like best? Basecamp is being used for the management of all the projects of our company, it has allowed us to organize our work groups and to delegate tasks properly among its members, at the same time we have liked how it allows us to follow the progress of the teams without having to meet always, hosting the documentation in the same environment. What do you dislike? I haven't disliked anything using Basecamp so far, but I would like it to handle some search ...

Basecamp is BEST

What do you like best? I love the way Basecamp is made for projects. It's intuitive and organized for workgroups to manage workflow between teams. I love the docs + file section, the ease of integration with Dropbox and Google Docs as well. I have used Asana, Trello, and Mondays - but overall, Basecamp works best for our team because we don't often have the same project twice, and our team works varied hours across the country. The difference in working hours is important ...
