User-friendly and Well Organized

What do you like best? I began using Basecamp when a client of ours wanted to use it to communicate back and forth. At the beginning of utilizing it, I thought it was a bit confusing. I was use to using Highrise and there were multiple parts of it that we a bit hard to comprehend. Maybe I should have looked for a tutorial rather than trying to jump right in? Probably. However, with more and more communications going back and forth, it became easy to comprehend. It's nice having the ...

Great project management tool

What do you like best? Ability to track and assign tasks, monitor deadlines, post files. What do you dislike? Too many options for communication: pings, campfires, hey, etc. Recommendations to others considering the product Consider really tailoring the set up and tools available in Basecamp so as not to overwhelm users. Definitely use Basecamp 3 to give users more control. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Collaboration ...

fine group project management

What do you like best? I like that there's a record of contributions in chronological order. What do you dislike? Hard to find files from past projects. Time tracking is not intuitive - can't see all your time entries for a week on one page, you have to view individual projects and tasks. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Keeping a log of projects and team member contributions. Allows us all to be able to see where projects are.

Redesigned a blog

What do you like best? I liked the checklist aspect of Basecamp. Assigning tasks to colleagues while we were apart was very useful and productive to keep everyone up to speed. The Basecamp2/Basecamp3 issues caused some problems with my team. I disliked the amount of emails I as receiving via Basecamp. The ...

Easy to use project management product

What do you like best? Once you know your way around, it's easy to post new discussions and respond to threads. My team uses Basecamp mostly for assigning projects to the creative time, so there's a lot of posting documents for review, re-posting with edits and then commenting in the thread. What do you dislike? It's a pretty basic tool, if you don't need to do anything complex it works great. I wish there was a way to live edit PDFs or Word documents instead of having to download, ...

Nothing super special

What do you like best? The organization and the ease of collaboration. What do you dislike? Nothing stands out to where I'd choose it over another program. It isn't as user friendly as other options. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Not really helping me solve any. I use it because other people on my team have it.
