Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

Basecamp 3 for Savage Race review

What do you like best? What I use the most and find the be the most handy is the to-do list feature. What do you dislike? The tagging feature could be a little better. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Checklists and to-do items are more transparent and well known throughout the office; people are up to speed with what others are working on.

Basecamp Review

What do you like best? The collaborative aspect with people outside your organization. What do you dislike? It can be a little overwhelming to find stuff that get's "lost in the weeds". Also, I wish the default wasn't to notify people of tasks, I would rather be able to opt-in instead of having to opt-out. It's a lot sometimes. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Being able to collaborate with guest presenters for webinars and ...

Easy Way to Organize Projects

What do you like best? I like that I am able to keep track of conversations and versions in To-Dos, and also save documents in another folder. What do you dislike? There are a few too many options, if that's such a thing. Between campfires, pings, etc. it's a lot of ways for communication which should be streamlined. Recommendations to others considering the product Ensure there is time for everyone to be trained. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

I think the main page could be more organized. I find it difficult to navigate sometimes. Recommendations to others considering the product Figure out a naming convention before you start! What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Keeping ...

Basecamp for Project Management

What do you like best? Capabilities to upload files into a project and keep notes and comments between multiple people organized under one thread What do you dislike? Only one feature is confusing. When a task is assigned, the link on the To Do's dosent always take you to the task. It seems like there is multiple links and that gets confusing when you are working on a ton of project and go back to find content. Recommendations to others considering the product Great platform for ...

Basecamp streamlines project processes and facilitates discussions in one place

What do you like best? Basecamp allows discussions with multiple inputs from people in different locations. Anyone can weigh in on a discussion and everyone can see without multiple emails. What do you dislike? Things can get lost in discussions. No way to organize files and there is no good way to put schedules into the projects. Timelines and to do's have to be manually manipulated. If a deadline is missed that will affect other deliverables down the line they have to be manually ...

Good product, terrible pricing

What do you like best? Basecamp offers excellent service and user support; they release a regular stream of updates and the user interface is intuitive enough that even my most technology apprehensive clients have an easy enough time using it. What do you dislike? Instead of maintaining a single development trunk, Basecamp has a problem with releasing major updates as entirely new, yet mutually exclusive, platforms. As a result, migrating projects is a nightmare and with every new ...
