A great barebones single tasker

What do you like best? Basecamp is a very straightforward way to to keep track of a long list of tasks. It does not have many features, but really does the core well. The notifications are spot on, helpful but not too chatty. if you need something that is very straightforward, this is the tool. There are no bells or whistles, but the barebones are very solid. What do you dislike? It is very linear, and you cannot add subtasks. This means you need to think about the tool as you plan a ...

Great Way To Stay On Track with a Project.

What do you like best? Basecamp makes it so easy to create a game plan for a project, assign tasks, upload and share files and stay on target to meet deadlines. What do you dislike? At first I wasn't sure how to link other Basecamp projects created by other entities to my project so I could have one central home base. Once that was figured out it is so convenient. Recommendations to others considering the product This is simple and easy to use when working on a team for project ...

Makes project management simpler

What do you like best? I like the ease of collaboration in Basecamp; I like being able to create multiple lists and assign them to different people. What do you dislike? I dislike some of the permissions settings--I can't create my own personal projects and task lists. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Cross-collaboration between divisions is much simpler with Basecamp.

So far so good!

What do you like best? Simple, no frills, neat little collaboration tool. Use it to work with remote team mates. I like the ability to assign tasks and the intuitive navigation/interface. It looks better than Podio, but may have fewer features, not sure. The reporting is good and I like the overall look & feel (timeline-ish. What do you dislike? To be honest I haven't seen anything I don't like about the tool. Maybe the cartoony layout ('Adminland'? No, not even that. Recommendations ...

Basecamp

What do you like best? Easy to communicate. Instant updates on a project. Clear thread of a progress. Files uploading/downloading is great. What do you dislike? Hard to start a project. That part "Add the first:" where you choose from: Discussion | To-do list | File | Text document | Event. If you choose wrong type it's really difficult to change/fix after. Recommendations to others considering the product Once you've set up an ongoing project it's easy to use, track and update. ...

Good tool for small groups

What do you like best? I really like the interface and discussion thread function. What do you dislike? More of a task manager than true project manager. It didn't have allocation functionality or a true way to build out the scope of a project. Recommendations to others considering the product I think this is great for a small team, make this the foundation of your communication and you'll be good. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

We use Basecamp to easily collaborate and communicate with our clients.

What do you like best? We love the collaboration that Basecamp allows and the ease at which our clients pick the tool up. What do you dislike? Managing clients with multiple projects can become confusing and cumbersome with Basecamp2. Project based boards isn't the most intuitive way to categorize things. Recommendations to others considering the product Basecamp2 is the version we use and it works well with collaborating with clients. We tried Basecamp3 but it wasn't as easy to ...

Solid Project Management Platform

What do you like best? Basecamp is intuitive and user friendly...even for people who are using it for the first time or who aren't tech savvy. It makes it easy to keep all the discussions, files and calendars associated with a project in one place. Also, Basecamp is a great way to share very large files that are too big to email. I also like the to-do list function. What do you dislike? I don't like that when I'm in a specific project I can't click directly to calendar view within that ...
