Basecamp is a good organization tool but needs improvement

What do you like best? The functionality of basecamp is great, easy to use and just as easy to navigate! What do you dislike? I would like basecamp to connect with my work calendar so I can communicate internally to my team and externally to clients. I would like everything to be all in one place. Recommendations to others considering the product It's a great way for agency's to communicate with clients and keep everyone organized and in task! What business problems are you ...

A Great Project Management Solution for External Teams

What do you like best? Basecamp makes project work easy to track and maintain, especially when working with external teams or agencies. You can easily respond and track messages, upload files, and update project milestones all in one place. It also eliminates the trickiness of how most companies have their own method of tracking, so your project stays on time in a central place. What do you dislike? It's a bit expensive and not needed on an ongoing basis (for us at least. What ...

We live in Basecamp

What do you like best? Basecamp 3 was an amazing refresh on an already great product and they just keep updating! It's a great communication solution for my growing team of undergrad employees, who rarely all work at the same time and move on frequently due to graduation. Basecamp is intuitive and easy to use by all members of the team in various roles. Multiple people per assignment is great, the various platforms and methods for group communication (pings, message threads, to-do's, etc. ...

Basecamp not so hot

What do you like best? Daily notifications. But awkward among users. Something missing to the concept. What do you dislike? Requirement to log in each time. Notification emails should be in different format. Recommendations to others considering the product Explore other options. Unless very small simple projects. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Group activities and task lists. Action items to be performed.

I LOVE BASECAMP!

What do you like best? Basecamp is the perfect tool for project management. I love that I can keep teams organized by secluding them into different projects and then make "to-do" lists for each task that needs completing. The ability to add Google Drive documents also makes collaboration easier. What do you dislike? I wish you didn't have to pay for more storage space. Recommendations to others considering the product Just DO IT! What business problems are you solving with the ...

Basecamp vs..... yeah we thought that too, there really isn't another good option

What do you like best? Basecamp is the main player in the task management software. They do a good job of assigning and tracking tasks in a given project along with providing task management. They provide flexible response: website, mobile app or through email replies. Basecamp is has a simple website interface and they make it very easy to interact with. What do you dislike? We have found some very key flaws in Basecamp's product. The holes in their product are in a basic lack of ...

Great for covering a large amount of projects and for use on mobile devices

What do you like best? Provides a simple update on what occurred during the day on select projects. Easy to load in client provided information (I work at investment firm and we receive constant information on prospective deals. Easily able to view on mobile devices, app works great. We use both Box and Basecamp and we have slowly started to shift work to Basecamp because it genuinely is much easier to navigate because of the fewer layers. What do you dislike? Text input for comments ...

A valuable tool for managing projects

What do you like best? The ability to add both people inside your company as well as those from other companies to complete a project is extremely valuable in my role as well as how I use Basecamp! What do you dislike? While basecamp has a ton of functionality, there is a bit of a learning curve on how to get set up and begin using the many features it has to offer. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Basecamp helps us solve a ...
