Basecamp is a great way to manage teams, tasks, and make sure everything gets done
What do you like best? It's a great way to allocate tasks, assign due dates, and assure that things are completed in a timely manner. The ability to check off items that are gone and send reminders is essential. We previously relied on long, horrible email chains to make sure people finished their assigned tasks, and often people would simply ignore the email. What do you dislike? A lot of times, people automatically complete tasks and forget to remove them from the pending list. Also, ...

Basecamp for GGC
What do you like best? I like that with basecamp you can have different sections and do not get multiple notifications if you chose not to. I like the free form forums they provide. What do you dislike? I mentioned the lack of notifications? that means that it depends on you to keep up to date with what has been updated! Recommendations to others considering the product I would say that with start ups or perhaps new teams this would be an ideal place to put in documents to review ...

Basecamp for collaboration
What do you like best? I like that you can find all communication, contact information, documents, files, etc all in one place. There's something to be said for not needing to search through e-mail folders and sub-folders for various pieces to a project. Everything for a single complex project can be found and shared in Basecamp. What do you dislike? There isn't anything that I dislike about Basecamp. I've been using it with about 10 other people for a project over the past year, and ...

Useful for collaborating with brand partners
What do you like best? Working for a telecommunications company means that I often need graphics and/or information from our affiliate partners. Basecamp makes it easy to share those ideas and items freely. What do you dislike? The interface isn't the most intuitive. Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting time looking for the information I need rather than actually doing. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? As I said above, working ...

Time to Make Camp!
What do you like best? That it's web based and accessible from anywhere; seriously, for updating things, this wins hands down. Regarding project management, seeing projects & todo list in a simple way and single pane of glass makes it easy to get tasks accomplished. Some PM software is complicated and overwhelming, but thankfully not Basecamp. What do you dislike? I wish archiving was a little easier. Also, you have to think the way basecamp works sometimes and there seems to be a lack ...

When you click on the text document icon it will open the links inside it if there are any instead of opening the document. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use it to manage our email newsletter projects. It is easy to have multiple people working on the same project to get all the same info and also having ...

A Better Product for a Bigger Organization
What do you like best? The best thing about Basecamp for our small (16 person association was having a record of tasks assigned and documentation of when the task was completed and by whom it was completed. What do you dislike? Unfortunately, the services we tried to utilize only added an unnecessary level of administrative work. Instead of sending an email to explain what needed done to the staff, or simply chatting across the hall, I would set up a task and then have to end up ...
