Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

SO Much Better than Asana

What do you like best? My favorite parts of Basecamp are the multiple view options you have. You can do a calendar view, which gives you an overview of the week/month, or the view by project, which separates to-do's according to client. What do you dislike? I dislike the need to constantly refresh the page when it lags, and occasionally I will miss comments. Although I don't prefer to use this feature, users can post responses to Basecamp through their email so that they don't have to ...

I use it for my apprenticeship

What do you like best? I love how it manages every single aspect of managing a project, department, or just straight team collaboration. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike about this. The GUI could use a little bit of improvements, but it is overall a rock solid program. Recommendations to others considering the product The cost of this product is about $100 a month. If you are a student or teacher you can get it free. There is a free trial of this software that I ...

Everything. In one place.

What do you like best? Incredibly easy to use, there's not much I don't like about this software. You can't beat a platform that gives everyone on a project access to the same information. Searchable, usable, I can't see ever switching. What do you dislike? File uploads - would be great to be able to set up topic folders within projects. That's about the only thing I;d ask for, and it's only critical for a small percentage of projects. What business problems are you solving with the ...

One of the better task management platforms

What do you like best? I really like the list layout on Basecamp. It also clearly shows who is responsible for completing which task and when. What do you dislike? I think it can be hard to find some tasks if they're not directly assigned to you. Also, archiving documents or threads can get tricky What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Task management. It's been the best one we've come across so far.

Teamwork Across the Country

What do you like best? Visually, it was easy to find the projects we were working on. It was separated by client and at any given time we were able to see the project from wherever we were living. I was able to receive notes on a project that I was working on and continue that work without the need for constant conference calls. What do you dislike? I wish that the updates were real time, similar to Google Docs. We would be working on project simultaneously and our work would sometimes ...
