Basecamp is a great beginner project management tool
What do you like best? I love how easy Basecamp is to use. All the tools are simple and clear what they're supposed to do. Adding To Do lists and assigning them dates and to specific team members is easy, and I like how you can copy To Do lists across projects. Messages are clearly marked and easy to find. Files can be organized in folders. Email chains can be forwarded into projects. What do you dislike? It's really easy to get lost in threads when it's not clear where a notification ...

Great platform for small to mid-sized businesses
What do you like best? Sleek, no-nonsense design. Clean and minimalist while supplying plenty of options for different formats, workflows, and working styles. What do you dislike? It doesn't scale up to the large business model as well, and the price isn't sustainable for large groups needing high budget efficiency in their workflow. If it scaled up better it might be worth the investment, though. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a large, intricate ...

Simple, which is good, but also limiting
What do you like best? Great for team communication if you're switching over from email. What do you dislike? No real project management tools, which is what you probably would expect from their marketing efforts. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Team communication is made much easier with campfires and discussions.

Basecamp can be very useful with the right amount of setup
What do you like best? I like the fact that I can communicate with the project originator and have a conversation with any questions that can be addressed, and also that its open to anyone on that specific project. That is a very powerful tool for communication and how a projects information can be shared between colleagues. If the entire team commits to use this solution, and uses the product intended there are some really great tools everyone can utilize to be more efficient as a team. ...

Lots of features
What do you like best? I've worked in basecamp classic, 2, and now 3. Basecamp 3 is better than ever including more ways to collaborate with my team in a more visually appealing environment than the lists full of tasks and sub tasks in Asana. What do you dislike? I dislike the centered formatting of the tool and that everything is so small. I understand that this is probably just due to the tool needing to be scalable and responsive but it's also strange to have the 'timeline' of ...

Useful but busy
What do you like best? Tiered access control helps to manage team involvement and who can control what aspects. It is also nice to have a shared folder for all documents and google docs that all team or project members can access and contribute to in real time. The ability to control access to certain people is definitely helpful, however it can be a bit difficult to manage the access when groups are hundreds of people big. What do you dislike? Difference between projects and teams is ...
