Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

Solidchoice for team and project management

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Basecamp helps in organizing project discussions and more importantly, it contains all of those discussions within the system and away from my email inbox. I have it set up to notify me via email when there's been a new message. Still, I can erase the email since the message is saved within the discussion thread in Basecamp. When I go to the project details in to a project, I need not go deep as Basecamp provides me all the info I ...

We Use Basecamp For Project Management

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Basecamp gives me total control over my projects without getting drowned by mails, documents and reports that don't seem to stop. The system features a very intuitive interface that enables me to create new projects, delegate tasks to members, and follow up on activities without any hitch or hiccup. I can even pull in externel parties to the projects and set limited access so they can provide their input and expertise. What ...

A safe haven for documents

What do you like best? The emails from the notifications system are reliable. What do you dislike? This does not seem to add value for my teams with the things it does. Recommendations to others considering the product See if the additional abilities are needed, or if you could just get by with sharing a Google Drive or Dropbox folder first. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use Basecamp to house documents in ...

Helpful, but needs more detail

What do you like best? Easy to talk to peers, but not a lot of details What do you dislike? I didnt feel like there were enough options or ways to help keep projects organized Recommendations to others considering the product If you dont have super detailed projects and not that many projects as a whole, this is for you. However, if you have complex projects that require a lot of detail, this is very high level, so I would not recommend. What business problems are you solving ...

Smart project management for diverse and distributed teams

What do you like best? Basecamp 3 is an outstanding, powerful, and relatively intuitive platform for bringing a team together to get things done. The various tools can be turned on and off as desired, project templates make starting new projects with similar features a breeze and everything is designed with good, healthy communication in mind. When I'm working with someone who has no knowledge of project management, they often feel scared and overwhelmed until they use Basecamp. Then they ...

Basecamp - A great tool to make things happen

What do you like best? It's very straightforward to use and allows our team to be very collaborative. What do you dislike? You can't add multiple individuals as being responsible for a certain task which I find to be annoying. Sometimes there is more than one owner for a task. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have a lot of remote folks on our team, so I think Basecamp has helped us to move forward on a lot of tasks that ...
