Seamless in terms of functionalities
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? It has been able to automate many tasks which we thought could not be done. There is a good feel when you realize that you can easily communicate with teams regardless of where they are on the same platform. Basecamp equips all teams to be on the same page even if they are working remotely on multiple projects. It is never the same when it comes to this tool. Our marketing team is able to connect different projects and check on ...

Helps organize the team on projects
What do you like best? I like the ability to stay in touch and track how projects are progressing. Its helpful to be able to see all the communication about a project in one place and address any problems that may have occurred quickly and efficiently. It makes dealing with consultants easier as there is a place where we can track progress and make communication a breeze. What do you dislike? You do get a lot of emails, but I imagine there is a way to limit how many emails you get from ...

JIRA is easy to use to track project progress and share documents with internal and external users
What do you like best? Easy to configure projects and select users who have access and what level of access We communicated project status with customers and exchanged files. This allowed us to avoid email use, so new project members could have access to history and documents they were not initially involved with. What do you dislike? Version control can be unwieldy if users are not careful. Recommendations to others considering the product We liked the mix of external and ...

Not a great fit for our team
What do you like best? I liked being able to segment projects and invite outside users to those projects. I liked the task lists and having the ability to sort them by different criteria. What do you dislike? I wish that there was one overall calendar that showed all current and ongoing projects at once. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We no longer user Basecamp as it was unable to solve some organizational issues.

Super helpful with cross-departmental projects
What do you like best? I love how easily work can be categorized in projects and then from there in to-dos. I also love how easy it is to pass work across depts, which is a challenge in my workplace. The My Schedule feature allows you to see your work as you need to tackle it. What do you dislike? I don't like that when a due date passes the task no longer shows on your My Schedule page. You have to go back into the task and change the due date. I also wish there was a request date ...

User Friendly
What do you like best? I recently worked on a startup and had to collaborate with my program management team, who were also serving as developers, and having this tool was very resourceful. Everything was there, and the email notifications when updates were made, was very helpful. What do you dislike? There is nothing that i dislike to be honest. It did everything i needed for it to do. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I was ...

Popular, but we can do better
What do you like best? The pricing can be reasonable, but I think you can do better for a similar or even lesser price. It's fairly ubiquitous amongst a certain set, so there's that, if you have personnel resistant to learning new things. What do you dislike? Clunky. I, and many others, ignore Basecamp notices because it feels like just another mailing list, and not an interactive useful tool that will provide assistance with getting things done. Recommendations to others considering ...
