Basecamp pros and cons

  • Simple, user-friendly interface that is intuitive even for beginners, making it easy for teams to adopt and use efficiently.

  • Centralizes all project information, including documents, tasks, and communications, enabling seamless collaboration and organization.

  • Strong team collaboration tools, including real-time communication, task assignments, and notifications to keep everyone aligned.

Use mostly for messages and relating progress on projects

What do you like best? Alerts come directly to my email, No need to log in and check for action items or messages. You can also see who the other members of the project are and what they are contributing so you don't have to guess who knows about the project. What do you dislike? I don't use the full strength of the software so I can't say that I have anything to dislike, Sometime locating files that are finished for a project can be difficult to find especially if there are different ...

Really nice organization for tasks for a team and where we are on them.

What do you like best? I love how everything is laid out. It's so nice and easy to use. The ability to add pdfs and different documents for the team to view or edit is so nice. What do you dislike? I honestly don't really have any complaints. I'm really happy with the product. Recommendations to others considering the product If you want something that'll be easy to use and keep everything organized, try it out What business problems are you solving with the product? Proyects and large options.

What do you like best? The best thing about Basecamp is the ease with which projects are created and the large number of options we have to add more creativity to the project and make it even more interesting. What do you dislike? The negative of Basecamp is that it has unnecessary things, such as changing the color of the interface, something very unnecessary and that space, can be used for more important resources. Recommendations to others considering the product Read the ...

Good collaboration tool

What do you like best? Ease of communication and love that there is an app to accompany the website What do you dislike? within message board, you are not able to easily use comment threads. Each post is a separate post and if you want to talk about multiple things within one message board or post, you need to copy and paste the part you're referring to into a new message (would like a reply thread like on FB or IG Recommendations to others considering the product Great ...

Project Managment with Basecamp

What do you like best? The ability to manage multiple projects What do you dislike? Task dependency could be improved as there are times when tasks need to be completed in order. It would also be nice to be able to set a priority in a separate field for that purpose. Recommendations to others considering the product This product can really get you going and collaborating with other team members and I would recommend it to get started. What business problems are you solving with ...

Basecamp Project

What do you like best? I like that you can see all the to dos and check things off as you go. It makes it easier to keep things going. What do you dislike? The fact that all it really is for me is a to do list. I don’t like how it’s so separated from all other platforms especially since Microsoft has Microsoft teams now which is the same concept so everything is fairly similar. Recommendations to others considering the product Realize that it doesn’t have the ease of use like ...

Basecamp seems to be aggregate processes in a fairly concise way.

What do you like best? The feature I like best is being able to delegate tasks to team members and have them checked off. This allows things to keep moving without micromanaging. What do you dislike? I would like basecamp to integrate more with my browser so that I can add a to-do list to my browser and interact with it without having to have the whole utility open. Recommendations to others considering the product Give it a shot, it may well be exactly what you need! What ...

Off the shelf project management software for nimble teams

What do you like best? The interface, scheduling, and notifications. It's easy to navigate and you are able to find upcoming and past due task items. The search feature also makes it helpful to look for a specific file or comment but can't remember which project it's located in. What do you dislike? Version control can be difficult to follow, upgrading to new version of Basecamp was much more complex than it should have been. Working in Basecamp2, often our projects would be ...
