BIM360 is an essential tool for any practice, big or small.
What do you like best? The BIM360 platform allows project teams to have the latest information available to them at all times. For Global projects, this is incredibly effective as many project teams are working in different timezones, teams no longer have to wait for the next day for "frozen backgrounds." The online viewer of 3D models and 2D drawings allows users not using Revit or Autocad to review and mark-up drawings on any operating system without the need for special software or ...

Early Adopter for Civil
What do you like best? We weren't able to use it long enough to determine what we liked best. What do you dislike? I'm a little surprised that I was invited to submit a review. We were very early adopters of the Civil 3D 2020.2 integration that was announced late 2019, having subscribed just a couple of weeks after it went live. Initially, we intended to run one pilot project on the platform, and the DWG files from that project were immediately corrupted. The first user took a very ...

Great Platform; Could use some tweaks
What do you like best? BIM 360 is great for teams working in different parts of world simultaneously. My team here can work the entire day on a model and our team in China can easily transition over during our night. What do you dislike? Customer support can be hit or miss. There are some representatives that come in and take the time to solve your problems. However there are some occasions you get bounced around a few people without getting a answer. We got our software through a ...

Best in Class
What do you like best? Creating checklists and punch lists is incredibly easy and practical This application becomes integral part of project, especially as finishes come along. What do you dislike? I wish the online version of the applications were nearly as versatile and intuitive as the mobile versions. It would also be nice if all features were available for the iPad version of the applications. Recommendations to others considering the product: Make sure you have a clear ...

Great collaboration tool
What do you like best? Multi-disciplinary project collaboration is easy with BIM360. Setting permissions for different type of users and ability for non Revit uses to view 3D models without installing any additional software on their computers. What do you dislike? Sometimes its challenging to keep up with changes in BIM360- can be a steep learning curve especially for admin users. Recommendations to others considering the product: BIM360 is a great cloud service tool with a ...

Good at what is is built to do but, as everything, needs a lot of improvement to be great!
What do you like best? Excellent for collaboration. Uploading models is very easy. We have multiple subs collaborating on this platform and it is very easy to use. BIM 360 Glue on the iPad is easy to use but not scaleable as project sizes grow. It is very easy to track activities but I wish that the activity history tracking module visible on Glue would be longer to encompass all activities on the project. What do you dislike? Cannot upload .rcs files or lazer scans and have them show ...

Getting better tool for Multi-Multi dezign/construction collaboration
What do you like best? Easy to connect large complex projects with multiple customers, AEs, contractors and other stakeholders, to ensure the current information is available for the team. As a cloud tool, it continues to grow, adding features needed by the team. The Autodesk Connector is great adding Windows Explorer like capability for mass file movement into the system. What do you dislike? Easier and greater flexibility is needed with permissioning. The Autodesk Connector could be ...

Ultimate solution for your project
What do you like best? BIM 360 is extremely versatile. From document control to schedule/cost/modeling, this is an All-in package! I also love the mobility of the apps available on your iPhones and iPads. This works great for clients/contractors/subcontractors/consultants/architects/engineers on field as well. I mainly use 360 Docs, Plan, Glue and Field. All these tools are now essential whichever project I am managing. Without BIM 360, there would be a lot more meetings, emails and ...
