Engineering to Field Drawings

What do you like best? I like that the field Installers can get us there revisions easily and steadily as they are marking the drawings up. What do you dislike? That I cant add in whole PDF sets of drawings for the field to print off. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It has made it easier to collaborate with the Field Installers from our home station.

My experience using Autodesk BIM 360

What do you like best? I like that it is integrated with the greater Autodesk ecosystem. It makes it easy to share files and store things in the cloud. What do you dislike? I dislike the ability to treat it like a typical Cloud service, i.e. Dropbox or Box, where I can store files locally in a specific cloud connected folder on my machine and they automatically save to the cloud. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would ensure you have all the understanding ...

Great Program

What do you like best? I like how everything is seen and can be used in design as well as in the field. What do you dislike? It is a little difficult to move around in the model when using on a laptop. Using on a tablet is much easier. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I like that we can resolve clashes before we send material out into the field. It benefits us in cutting down on install hours.

Great for model collaboration

What do you like best? BIM 360 is great when multiple trades are working on the same project. It allows the different trades to see what others are doing in real time. We also like that all models are date stamped so we can tell when something was changed. This helps greatly when contractors start to point fingers. I also like that the model is located on the cloud and I do not have to have excess files saved on my local computer as the Revit and Navisworks files can get rather large ...

Makes sharing files offsite easier

What do you like best? To be able to work at the office or home and know that everything is always current. What do you dislike? Sometimes the learning curve is lengthy and confusing. Recommendations to others considering the product: Once setup it is easy to work with clients and always up to date files. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Models are always up to date. Being able to coordinate with off site consultants. Clash ...

BIM 360 has been easy to transition to, with intuitive website interface.

What do you like best? I like the concept of a coordinated and continuously shared model with all project consultants. What do you dislike? The worksharing issues that still seem to exist when working in the BIM 360 environment. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are solving the lag between sharing and waiting for documents among project team members. There is significant time requesting documentation, sending documentation, ...

One Stop Shop for Full Stack Design and Construction

What do you like best? Bim 360 is a good centerpiece for a common data environment. OCR capabilities are great and the integration to Revit is the biggest component of it. Integrates with the best construction platforms for a best of breed approach under a single environment. What do you dislike? Certain bugs and some restrictive features. Not as flexible as one would hope. But the default is a good system. PDF markup tool could use some UX work. What problems are you solving with ...

BIM is adaptable for all projects

What do you like best? It allows the project team to coordinate efficiently. If a file has the same name and is saved in the same folder location the file is given a version number. So if you upload the same file at a different time the file version will update. I love this feature it allows for cleaner folder structures and tracking of document updates. The different project teams can upload models that will open inside of the BIM 360 site. This allows all of the users to open the models ...
