One app can do so much
What do you like best? The ease of use. The modelling flow chart to model process flow diagrammatically instead having to write line after line after line of code. I like how you can pretty much create any process type application for so many industries. I can see it being used in totally different industries from healthcare to education to inventory type systems. What do you dislike? The one downside is that I have to learn a little bit of coding. The SAIL language is not too bad ...

Great tool for rapidly creating applications
What do you like best? It is quick and easy to get an application live and in the hands of an end user. Can keep companies up and running remote during these tough times. What do you dislike? That there is a lack of styling customization. There is only so much you can do to customize the look of the apps. Recommendations to others considering the product: For getting developers for the tool, send them to the Appian training camp. Hiring developers for this tool is very ...

A best BPM tool I've used so far!
What do you like best? The ease of designing the business processes and then simply configuring them to make it work is the best thing I can say. Community is very rich and helpful. There's everything documented properly and it's very easy to pick Appian as a new developer. I started with the development last year and now, I play a vital role in my team. All thanks to Appian! What do you dislike? I've got just one word for this: NOTHING! Recommendations to others considering the ...

Good workflow engine
What do you like best? Executable BPMN development environment lets us directly translate business process. What do you dislike? The deployment model is single server. If an upgrade to capacity is needed, it requires a rebuild of the VM. You are often required to create strongly typed CDTs, which makes it difficult to use dynamic JSON payloads. Recommendations to others considering the product: Always try a free demo, and partner with your business stakeholders to document a ...

Low Code - great product - robust
What do you like best? I like using the process modeler to map out the work flow; also like being able to test the UI forms when creating them. Also - although I had learned from the early days - how to create forms using just SAIL, the drag and drop components that have evolved over the years really do make it easy for new developers. What do you dislike? Although the quarterly updates usually have some great enhancements, it's cumbersome to have to do regression testing every ...

Innovative product that can transform your workplace
What do you like best? It's easy-to-learn and easy-to-use for both developers and end users. The interface is slick and powerful. Both the Appian product and the implementation team have been an excellent fit for our organization. The product is robust enough to handle mission-critical membership tracking for our 500,000 members, while flexible enough to also provide internal leave tracking for several hundred employees. Appian issues quarterly product updates that we can schedule with ...
