CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT GOOD

CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT GOOD I just finished with uploading all my info into the system that part was great but now I find out they do not have phone support as they told me when I was signing up. The support is very min. So we have this new system but all they want to do is tell us to email them. After less then a week I am going to cancel this.

Great property managements software

Great property managements software. Tech support is responsive and helpful. Would like to see faster roll outs with new items suggested.

I love Appfolio! But. . . .

I love Appfolio!! But the MCC line has been very very very disappointing lately and we rely on the for our maintenance and emergency line. We have had to build in a backup that we pay for.

What do you like best about AppFolio Property Manager? Before Appfolio, we had to manually keep track of everything regarding our rentals. This included creating different spreadsheets and systems in Excel. Appfolio is great in that it can keep track of finances, contacts, and even generate maintenance requests. There are many more functions in Appfolio ,but we're not quite there yet.

Decent, but some major shortcomings

The software is intuitive in many ways but has some major holes. Being a closed API limits your business to only things that their tech crew can develop in-house -- when they get to it. Their maintenance functionality leaves much to be desired but the biggest hole in the software is their lack of thought/effort put into payroll. No connections with any payroll companies and a lack of willingness to connect or develop on their own leaves payroll processing in the very manual dark ages.

AppFolio makes it known that they can help you extract your data from your current program for easy data migration directly into AppFolio - such a simple process. Guess what happens when you want to extract your data from AppFolio? That's right .... suddenly they don't have the ability to do such simple tasks. I love this!

PROS: Appfolio is simply great to have around! I get to monitor everything that's going on with our rental residential business! We've been using it to store images and leases. We even notify our tenants on their due rent through it! We have the ability to directly post ads on it!

I really like working with this software

PROS: I like that this system is easy to use and integrates well with everything that is needed for properly managing of the rents and properties. We used software where we had to input from one accounting section to another manually. I’m happy that we don’t have to do that and I like that we have everything integrated. All we have to do is to click on items in order to see where the numbers came from.
