Spotsaas Editor’s POV

AOMEI Backupper's free tier covers system imaging, file recovery, and drive cloning—verify in a demo whether the free version includes scheduling, as this is a paid-only feature. The software performs well on SSDs but can slow significantly on older mechanical drives during large backups; test with your actual hardware before committing. Check integration ...Read more

Such a simple to use piece of powerful software

My dads laptop went into an endless recovery loop. I cloned the drive to a new one. Run a recovery and all is fine. The software was so easy to use and as I did a backup of the whole drive and then a recovery I have a copy to write again if my dad manages to get in the same position again. So easy to use, pick the option, pick the drive to backup and the location, and go. The restore was just the same idea, pick the image, the drive and go. So simple

If you're debating using aomei products or the legitimacy of the company, i'm an engineer by trade and paid for backupper, partition assistant and onekey out of my own pocket. I've used it at home and on 240 computers at work, there are little bugs here and there, usually caused by 3rd party adapters for connecting loose drives. Other than that the software itself is bulletproof and has saved me more times than I can count, highly recommended. UK Based User

Use it twice, you get to buy it again!

You buy it, then get to use it twice, then you get to buy it again, because that's how you shaft customers. Look elsewhere, unless you just like buying the same piece of software over and over and over and over and over.

Used for the first time...excellent.

Used for the first time, after reading all the documentation about backup and restore and the detailed help files on the AOMEI backupper site. The site is excellent, and the software is even better. I was using the free version: even though the pro versions have some super features that I could have used. The backup was extremely easy to use and to select the folders to backup on my old PC. The restore, to my new build PC went without any errors, but included a message that it avoided ...
