Ich suchte eine Alternative zu Acronis und gelangte über Chip zu AOMEI Backupper. Wir ziehen regelmäßig Images der C-Laufwerke unserer Rechner. Die weiteren Laufwerke D, E, F, usw. sichern wir per Kopieren und Einfügen auf externen Medien. Soweit nun die Konstellation. Mit dem Backupper von AOMEI machen wir also "nur" Images von C. I moved from Mac OS to PC Windows 11 - and horrors - found there is no backup system in Win11. Aomei to the rescue
I moved from Mac OS to PC Windows 11, and I was a bit lost getting used to the different file structure, but the thing that unsettled me was that there appears to be no way of doing automated backup of your data in Win11. Mac has Time Machine as standard, so automated backups are made continuously, and automatically. Windows suggested I could use one-drive. Free edition saved me!
I intermittently use the free AOMEI Standard edition. Two days ago a brief power outage fried my PC. I ordered a new PC and recalled that I had used AOMEI last year to backup files. I unearthed the external drive I had used, quickly installed AOMEI to my new PC, and quickly restored all of the document files I had saved. The interface was extremely intuitive, which is a relief when your in minor panic mode trying to regain your file history. Kudos to AOMEI!

Quick Backups and saves space over ISO or BIN
AOMEI Backupper works great as the freeware version for making and restoring backups and works even faster and has better options for the Workstation and Professional Versions. The AOMEI Backupper is especially helpful for me because the software can backup hard drives and then restore them without having to make an ISO or BIN file which is the size of the entire hard drive, it can back up the drive and only require as much space as you have taken up on the hard drive you are backing up.
