Fair price for good transcription in German

I have a good experience with Amberscript. I use Amberscript to transcribe interviews I conducted for my academic work. The automatic transcription in German is so good that I only have to fine-tune it, which saves me a lot of time. I also think the price is fair.

Mixed experience

I had to transcribe a French and a German text and I have to say the experience was completely different. The german one was really good and I had to make only a few corrections. In comparison the french one was more or less horrible. Each sentence had multiple mistakes and I had to read the 40 pages all by my self, so it wasn't really less work than transcribing it myself. So only three stars from me. If you improve the french transcription, I'm willing to give a lot more

Amberscript has helped me a lot while…

Amberscript has helped me a lot while writing my master thesis. The useage is very simple and intuitive. I am sure it works better in English, than in my native language, but I didn´t even expect it to work that great with dialects/accents. Even bad quality audio files could be transcribed. Sure, you need to go through your automatic generated transcript, but most of it is good work. I had to make some adjustements here and there, but overall I´m happy with the result.

I was looking for a tool to convert…

I was looking for a tool to convert audio to text files and contacted Amberscript. Just created a userid, uploaded files and they gave me the cost estimate, $10 per file that is one hour long . I paid and received the text file back within ten minutes. The converted quality is awesome with very few errors. Recommend highly.

This review is for automatic transcription for Norwegian. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the transcription had absolutely no utility for me whatsoever. It wasn't just impresise, the accuracy was so low that I couldn't even guess what it was supposed to say even when I had conducted the interview myself. A relatively poor transcription could have helped somewhat in speeding up the process of transcribing manually, but this service couldn't even help with that.

Amberscript takes the weight off the artist/producer and facilitates with easy this process of subtitles. Their system is so easy and quick yet allows you to tweak to perffection. A huge huge time saver. So happy I found them.
