Cost-effective database that needs more native tooling options

What do you like best? It's very cost-effective and easy to incorporate into AWS-based automations. What do you dislike? If you're not comfortable at the command line, or don't already have experience with something like MySQL Workbench, it can be daunting to work with. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Migration of non-ciritical databases to cloud to save money, better pass through costs to other LOBs.

It's good service

What do you like best? It good high availability. Multi cluster. What do you dislike? No good inter region service. I want read only across regions What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? My database is stored there reliably

Aurora roars!

What do you like best? auto-everything, 1-click, faster, and cheaper!!! I mean really....compare to 10 years ago - SqlServer & Oracle dominating, taking $$$$, people to manage everything, nobody really with good DR/BU (esoteric, hard work)....or of course MySql and Postgres but no corp would allow use of it. Now, all the stuff you got from those paid guys, and so much more (the stuff that everyone should have done but didn't) - Aurora is the answer. What do you dislike? Still at least ...

Started working with Aurora this year

What do you like best? Serverless nature, no need to patch. Always up and I can focus purley on application development. I also like the ease by which we can create/manage instances. Do not need to rely on dba team. What do you dislike? At first there was not BYK support, but that was added relatively quickly. That is was the only downside that we encountered. I would like a better UI on the AWS console so that I can better visulize all our instances. What problems are you solving ...

Great performance

Care free database cluster

What do you like best? Aurora enables you to have a HA DB cluster and even has a serverless option. What do you dislike? There is nothing that I dislike about this product, What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our customers want stable clusters that perform well, we have enabled this with Aurora and cut down on operations effort.

Why not use Aurora?

Aurora is the relational database to use

What do you like best? The ability to quickly spin up multi-cluster my sql based databases that are fast and the storage is highly available. I am awaiting the multi-master multi-region feature... that will be a game changer. The serverless capabilities look great; but i have not tried it out yet.
